Raw Spirit

Raw Spirit are a 7-piece ‘good time’ blues and soul outfit. Formed back in the late 60’s (when they supported the likes of Free and Pink Floyd) the band have gone through several changes in personnel and for the last few years have been working extensively throughout the north east entertaining audiences with their brand of foot-tapping blues and soul. The line up of the band includes one of the north’s hottest horn sections and with the recent inclusion of energetic vocalist and blues harp extraordinaire Andy Moon the band have been getting rave reviews everywhere they play.

Raw Spirit perform a great variety of songs which draw on blues classics from BB King and Muddy Waters to Freddie King as well as soul classics from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Otis Reading. If, by the end of the night your feet aren’t moving to this band then they must be nailed to the floor!!!

Testimonials

"They say they are a Good Time Chicago Blues and R n' B seven-piece outfit including a brass section, known to play the occasional swing number. Actually Raw Spirit are a top rate band covering styles from soul to blues rock and a bit of popular dance music in between. A crowd pleaser every time."
